Jaundice: A condition caused by excess bilirubin and bile pigment deposition in the skin which may give the patient a yellow appearance, especially in the eyes (Plasmodium falciparum); also referred to as icterus.
Joule: A unit of work or energy equal to 10,000,000 ergs; 1000 joules equals 1 kilojoule (kJ).
Jaccard coefficient (SJ): An association coefficient used in numerical taxonomy. It is the proportion of characters that match, excluding those that both organisms lack.
